Go to Insert-->offset/scale-->Offset Surface
In the offset surface command
in feature bar you can see OUTPUT
You have two options in this,
1.One feature for connected faces
This option is useful when you have to create the envelope for the particular component as the tolerance purpose.In this all the faces offset with the connectivity.
2.One feature for each face.
You wont see any connectivity in this command.Each face can be offset individually without any connectivity.
